My Story/Philosophy

I’ve spent my career immersed in the visual. As a photographer and then as a photo editor for several major American publications I worked to find the most truthful, beautiful and interesting ways to tell a story visually. It required a critical eye, a sense of restraint and a deep interest in people and places. I design and source with the same considerations.

Foxside grew out of my own slow renovation of a 1780 farmhouse in Somerset County, New Jersey — a project I’m still very much working on and document on Instagram and Substack. As the years passed, friends, then strangers started asking me for help with their homes, and so, in 2026, Foxside Home was born. 

My approach starts with the bones of the space and the real lives of the people who will occupy it. I favor pieces with history or human hand behind them, materials that age well and rooms that feel grounded, warm and comfortable. In short, I believe your home should feel like your home.

I offer design consulting on individual rooms and curated sourcing for homeowners. Even if you’re not sure exactly what you need, please get in touch. I’m happy to help you figure it out!

  • I offer full room design/redesign services, design consultations for specific challenges, color and paint consulting and sourcing.

  • I calculate fees based on scope, complexity, and projected resources, then present a transparent proposal.

  • If, for example, you know you want a new rug for a space, but you’re overwhelmed by options. I can help you by sourcing a number of options within your budget, sharing some ideas and ultimately helping you choose the perfect rug for your space. I can also source things like furniture, mirrors, lighting and decor.

    I prefer to source antique, vintage or small, well-made brands.

  • Engagements range from one to two weeks for consultations or sourcing to several months for a comprehensive transformation of your space.

  • Some sourcing and consultations can be done remotely, but room design and color consultations are best done with some site visits so I can fully understand your space and its potential.
